Freescale fusionne netbook et tablette

Pourquoi choisir ? A l'occasion du CES de Las Vegas, le fabriquant de composants Freescale a dévoilé un astucieux concept de netbook à l'écran escamotable, capable de se transformer en tablette.

Basées sur des processeurs ARM Cortex A8 et un écran d'environ 7 pouces, ces "smartbooks" pourraient tourner aussi bien sous linux que sous google android et devraient être commercialisées l'été prochain à des tarifs inférieurs à 200 dollars..

De quoi révolutionner le segment des ordinateurs portables à bas coût mais également d'adresser de nouveaux marchés comme ceux de l'éducation ou des pays émergents.
