Hello everyone, you remember Lukas, who is traveling around the world on his bike with Ovi Maps, right? He wrote to us yesterday with some beautiful pictures from North Argentina. Enjoy them!

Last week I cycled over Andes from Argentina to Chile. Sounds tough?

 

Two weeks ago my highest cycled altitude had been in Armenia and Nepal, reaching an altitude around 2400m (above the sea level).

 

 

Now I almost doubled the number, when I climbed at the best as high as 4750m.

 

 

For more than 300 km I stayed above the 3500 m, for six times I topped the elevation of four kilometers.

 

 

Most of the time the way was windy and deserted, at the night temperature dropping below zero degrees.

 

Water and food supplies were available only every 130 km or more. Indeed it was tough.

 

 

So you can imagine how exhausted I was when I descended to San Pedro de Atacama in Northern Chile.

 

 

For the whole Easter holidays I did nothing else but lie down and surf wireless internet on my Nokia device.

 

 

But while me and my Nokia N97 Mini are charging our batteries for Bolivia, marvel at some of the pics I managed to catch up there.
