After seeing Marques Toliver on Jools Holland at the end of last year I have included the single White Sails on my play list weekly…..and I can imagine it will be on there for quite some time.

Marques who hails from Brooklyn NY,  has a beautiful, rich soulful voice that has clearly been influenced by the deep South style of singing and coupled with the violin makes Marques refreshingly easy to listen to and definitely one to watch out for this year.

According to Marques’ MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/marquestoliver) he is unsigned, I cannot imagine that this will be for very long.
