Here at Ovi, it’s All About the People

Have you ever wondered what kind of people work in a company whose latest product you just bought? What their working culture is like, what they do on their spare time, what their office looks like, are they encouraged to use the company’s products… I’m pathologically curious when it comes to these questions (do the folks at Ben & Jerry get free unlimited ice cream etc.), so I figured there must be at least a handful of readers here who feel the same way!

With that in mind, we came up with this new weekly series for the Ovi Blog where we talk to some interesting personalities who work within Ovi and then share the answers with you guys so that you can get to know the crew a little bit better. You’ll get to learn what their jobs are like, what apps they’ve downloaded from the Store, what was the latest location they found with Maps, what blogs they read, what their views about Ovi are… you know, some pretty personal stuff :)

I had the pleasure to interview Michiel Maandag from the Ovi Product Marketing team just last week (meaning, I managed to pin him down long enough to extract answers from him). We’ll publish his interview on Monday, but in the mean time, we’d like to hear your suggestions on what YOU would like us to ask from our future interviewees. Is there anything you’ve always wanted to ask an Ovi employee given the chance? If yes, leave your question(s) to the Comments section or email it to me directly at niini (at) ovi (dot) com. We have a bunch of people from all around Ovi (marketing, branding, communications, analytics, finance etc.) lined up for the interviews, so the questions don’t need to be product-specific.

We’re looking forward to hearing your suggestions!
