Pink ( or fuchsia for you men ) is the hottest color of 2011. When we launched the Pink N8 a few weeks back, my colleague Elisa said that the feedback on our facebook pages can be summarized in two words: ” “wwoooowwww” or “aaawwww” “.

Hence we decided to combine a “wwoooowwww” product with another. We would like you to check out maps.ovi.com and maps.ovi.com/3D, and tell us your impressions about them. This time, there will be no luck of draw. We who are working on web maps, will select a winner to receive one Pink Nokia N8 and also two other N8s to give away to one of their loved ones. A few entries will also qualify for Nokia swag and all winning entries will be linked to or featured on the blog.

So how do you enter the competition?

Easy.Go to maps.ovi.com site and check out our 2D and 3D maps. Try out the various features. Add a public place, write a comment. Go to city that you have never been to.Then, share your thoughts (in English only) via a:

  • Blog post : not more than 700 words. No limit on images
  • Video posted to youtube or Vimeo : not longer than 5 minutes
  • Powerpoint slide : not longer than 20 slides
  • Tweets ( with hashtag #OviMaps )
  • A Painting, a collage, a song or any other thing you can think about.

The flexibility in the form of your entry allows you to be creative. A link to the entry should then be posted to the comments section below. You can reference others, but entries which do not give proper credit will not be considered. You can enter the competition as many times as you want, but remember, quality trumps quantity in this round.

The competition runs until 23:00 GMT June 30th. Entries submitted after the timeline will not be considered. If you need any clarifications, please comment on them in the comments section below.
