Vodafone doesn't expect to merge with Verizon

The old rumor of a merger between Vodafone and Verizon Communications is back in the news, as the CEO of Vodafone has claimed the telecoms firm is more likely to look into other alternatives. Vodafone, which owns 45 percent of Verizon Wireless but doesn't get a share of its profits, has been urged to find alternatives by shareholders. Some industry analysts have believed the two will merge in order to resolve this the problem....
