The Ovi Blog Has New Clothes! Plus, win free stuff

Notice anything new? The Ovi Blog has gotten a complete makeover! Holla! The improvements and changes that we have just implemented today are so major that in human terms, the Ovi Blog went from having a mullet and wearing a potato sack to rocking a highlighted buzz cut and wearing Gucci. We’re looking that pretty right now.

So what exactly is new? Well, first of all, there’s the navigation. As you can see, there are two ways for you to navigate on the Ovi Blog: you can choose any of the categories on the right hand side and you will see all the posts in that category. If you’d like to see, for example, everything that we’ve ever written about Maps, just click on the Maps category and voila! The second way to navigate is simply by clicking on any of our Tags (e.g. “Facebook”, “Navigation”, “Walk and Drive” “N900”…) which are located on the bottom of every page.

We’ve also made other additions to make your reading experience a whole lot better. All the posts on the Home Page are now shortened, so you can only see the title and first paragraph of each post. The rest of the post is behind a “Read more” link which allows you to quickly decide from a list of posts which ones you want to read first. No more excessive scrolling!

Then, like already mentioned, we look so very pretty right now We’ve given the Ovi Blog a splash of color; you can see the bright “Ovi” greens and pinks all over the site now. I mean, who wants to be grey all the time? We also have all our Ovi services from Contacts to Store ready for you to visit on the very top of the Home Page. Reading a post about Free Navigation and realized you haven’t gotten it yet for your Nokia? No worries, click on the Maps icon and off you go!

Also, in case you can’t wait any longer to see what’s new on our Ovi by Nokia Facebook or Twitter pages, we’ve made that super easy for you with the smart little FB and Twitter widgets that are both located on the right hand side.

Giving Ovi Blog this makeover was a long process and we’re so happy it’s finally a reality that we’re giving out some free stuff!
