Synology launches 12-bay NAS unit aimed at photographers

Synology has added a network-attached-storage (NAS) unit to their lineup, aimed specifically at photographers, pro video and other creative professionals with large storage needs. The 12-bay Disk Station 2411+ can hold up to 36TB of storage (using 3TB disks) and is compatible with an expansion module that offers another 12 bays for a total of 24 drives or 72TB of storage capacity. The unit offers up to 165MB per second write speeds and up to 195MB per second reading....
