Hi there! I’m Abby Guha, product marketing manager for Nokia’s consumer messaging services. Now that the holidays are upon us, I (like everyone else!) will be attending a variety of holiday parties and events with friends and family and taking pictures to capture a lot of fun and special moments. The holidays are a great time to spend time with the people we’re closest with and it’s a wonderful time to capture those moments with the incredible 12 megapixel camera on the Nokia N8. Needless to say, I won’t be leaving the house without my Nokia N8 as it offers a very simple and intuitive experience when it comes to sharing those pictures via email. However, it’s not just the Nokia N8 but rather a variety of Nokia devices across the full device range, and across a variety of price points, that offer this very same intuitive and super easy experience of sharing pictures via email.

Sharing pictures via Email from Camera/Gallery:

One way to share a picture is to send it via email directly from the from the camera/gallery/photos area of the device.
Using my Nokia N8 as an example:

1. I start at the picture that I want to email (from within the gallery/photos)
2. I click on the envelope icon
3. It gives me a variety of options by which to share the picture, email being one of them
4. I select email
5. I go to the To field and add in a recipient. Auto-fill functionality and portal address lookup for Gmail and Hotmail on the Nokia N8 make sending messages very simple.
6. Click on the envelope icon to send the image/picture to the intended recipient

Sharing pictures from within the Email app

Another way to share a picture via email is within the email application itself. You can compose a new email and attach a picture that is located within your picture gallery.

Using my Nokia N8 as an example:

1. I start off at my email inbox
2. Go to Options
3. Select New Mail
4. Select Add Attachment
5. Select Image to get to the picture that I want to attach in my email message
6. I can also preview the image by clicking on the attachment
7. Add your email recipient information and click on the envelope icon to send the image.

With seamless email application and device integration, it’s now a snap to share a picture from anywhere on your Nokia device! Here’s hoping you have a great holiday season and capture fun moments to relive and share for a long time!
