Now, let’s take a look at some apps that should help you to begin 2011 on the right foot.

First up is Grid Touch by Finland’s Offscreen Technologies. This free app can be used to help you quickly and easily organize all of the other apps on your Nokia smartphone. As our guest blogger, Alessandro La Rosa (aka Jappit), noted in his review of Grid Touch: “once you use it for the first time, you may find yourself wishing that all apps were as beautiful, smooth and intuitive as this one.”

Up next, and no pun intended, is ComingNext by independent software developer Michael Prager to easily keep track of upcoming calendar appointments with a convenient homescreen view. The app is free in Store.

Third, we have a utility that can be used to schedule when you send out SMS messages.  SMSTimer integrates right into the ‘Messaging’ options on your Nokia phone. This app is available for $4.99 (USD) in Store.

Need more? If you commute to work – and let someone else do the driving, like on a bus or train – then you need WakeUp, which integrates with Ovi Maps, and let’s you sit back and catch a few quick winks during your ride. This award-winning app (from the 2010 Calling All Innovators competition) is available for $0.99 (USD) in Store.

And, if you need to make a shopping list, we actually have two different apps to suggest that should get the job done. There is Shoppy by Inova IT which offers user control and collaboration options, and Shopping List by INdT, which is super easy to use. Both of these apps are free to download from Store.
