Poland: 3D LandmarksCześc to all the Ovi Blog readers. Today I’m going to greet you in Polish because I want to introduce you to this fantastic country where Ovi supports both visitors and insiders.

Maps, for instance, gives you direct access to a popular local guide of events, sport, culture; on the Store you can find an application to listen to Polish audiobooks and another for one of the most popular Polish internet portals.

Have you ever visited Poland? I know this country fairly well. I’ve been in Kraków and Gdańsk in 2002 on an Interrail (OMG, that’s 8 years ago!), then in Warszawa, Wrocław and Poznań in the following years. All really nice places with nice people, interesting history and good food (not to mention the Polish vodka  ).
Btw, I remember when I forgot my Nokia 3310 on a train to Kraków! Such a dramatic situation! But against all expectation I got it back, thanks to a Polish state railways employee who found it. I couldn’t thank him enough.

Maps in Poland
Free voice guided turn-by-turn Drive and Walk navigation, 3D landmarks, Share location, location aware Weather forecasts, Events listing, Michelin guides, Lonely Planet travel suggestions and Map Reporter are of course all available in Poland.
Two additional services are now available for Polish Maps users: Qype and Coigdzie.
Qype is Europe’s leading portal of user generated recommendations and reviews: their places database is now fully integrated in Maps and available in Poland too.
Coigdzie is a Polish portal to look for concerts, cinema, sport, exhibitions and much more.

Store in Poland
Also from the Store you can get a lot of Polish content, especially if you want to personalize your Nokia :-)
But you can also find Audioteka, which is an application that lets you listen to a tons of Polish audiobooks.
And Onet.pl to easily access one of Poland’s most popular internet portals.
