One of the issues that our key users brought up in the event in December was how difficult it was for them to use Map Reporter. They could only report an error based on their current position, or a text address search: there was obviously space for improvements.

But with this latest Map Reporter update, it’s now possible for users to pick a point directly on the map and then report about it. So how to do it, you say? Here are the steps, and a sweet animation explaining the steps.

  1. Activate Map Reporter on your mobile. It shows your current position.
  2. Click on the paper map icon on the top right of the screen. It will take you to the actual map, where the red dot indicates your current position, and the black brackets indicate the currently selected position.
  3. Zoom and scroll to the place that you wish to report. Now, it’s selected within the black bracket.
  4. Click on the tick mark on the upper right of the screen, and you will be taken back to the map reporter interface.
  5. Report about what is the error at this place, and click submit.

And that’s it! One small step for Map Reporter, one giant help for us users.
