Greetings from Nokia Boston! Steven Kosakow from Nokia’s Talent Acquisition team here with some terrific news for you… Nokia is a proud sponsor of this year’s LinuxCon North America Conference 2010 in Boston! This is the industry’s premier Linux event and runs August 10th – 12th.

Not only are we a sponsor of the event, but our very own Tom Miller, Director of MeeGo Ecosystem Development, will be giving a keynote address on Wednesday at 4:30pm themed “Freedom to Innovate: Can MeeGo’s Openness Change the Mobile Industry?”  There’s more: we’ll be hosting a booth on Wednesday and Thursday showcasing web runtime and MeeGo, and we’ll also be showing a demo of the N900… all great opportunities for Ovi developers and aficionados to connect with us. There’s even more: we’re raffling an N900 to one lucky conference attendee!!

If you’re not fortunate enough to win the N900, we’re also giving out tons of Nokia flashing yo-yos and solar powered flashlights. So if you’re at the event, please drop by to say hello. Remember also to follow the ongoing conversation on Twitter with the hash tag #LinuxCon.

Not sure if you’re aware, but Nokia and Ovi are doing a lot of hiring and we’d love to chat with any Linux folks and developers at the conference who want to learn about jobs at Nokia; here’s a link to our openings. We’ve received many awards for being a fantastic employer, but if you won’t take my word for it, check out what our very own Ovi People Interviewees have told you about working here at Nokia :)

More info about LinuxCon here. Hope to see you there!

-Steven
