Multitasking and better usability in the new Store 2.0

Have you noticed anything new in the Store lately? The brand new Store 2.0 was just launched during Nokia World 2010 in London, and we’d like to highlight a couple of the most important updates that have taken place in the Store.

Firstly, when you surf over to the Store on your device (say, the wonderful Nokia N8), you’ll see that we have updated the visual look of the application. The design is now is richer and more user-friendly, and a nice, smooth grey color.

Then, we’ve made the navigation inside the Store easier by adding smart little icons on the top for “Store” home, “Categories”, “Search” and “Account”. There are “Store menu” and “Back” buttons visible at all times, which also help with the navigation inside the Store.

Also, one very important update we’ve made has to do with multitasking. Now you can download and install more than one application at a time: it means you can download and install, for example, the Ovi Blog App and Ovi Maps Challenge at the same time (as you can see, we’re not playing any favourites here, heh).

This is obviously very convenient since it will help you save your time for, say, reading what’s new in the Ovi Blog…
