Myles here from the Partner Marketing team. In the course of my job I see (and play) a lot of apps and games from the Store. So, when I saw another Fart app I almost didn’t bother, but I’m sure glad I did!

eyeSight has just launched a new app – FartControl – in the Store. Now, I know what you’re thinking – another disgusting, noisy app… well, that’s only partly true. While it is disgusting, and noisy, it’s not just your normal, run-of-the-mill app. What’s special about FartControl is that it uses your device’s camera to determine when and how to make all the  sounds it does. So you can basically keep your phone hidden and embarrass your unsuspecting friends all without having to touch a button – they’ll never know what hit them! Cool, huh? This is a prime example of a developer using our easy-to-use APIs and even easier go-to-market channels to make a groundbreaking app and publish it at the Store.

Here’s a video to show you how it works:

If you want something a little more “respectable”; eyeSight also have a number of other “Touch Free” apps you can play by using hand gestures only. With the Fortune Cookies app you can “crush” a virtual fortune cookie with a tap of your hand above the phone to read your fortune, or go kill some bad guys in Ninja Strike by throwing Ninja Stars using a real throwing motion in front of the phones camera. Lastly, you can play a fun game of Truth or Dare with your friends by spinning a virtual bottle with a “Whoosh!” of the hand above the device.

Enjoy!
