Microsoft Kinect may support custom gestures, user profiles

Manan on his blog found a few lines of text in a Microsoft Kinect patent application that suggest the device and software might eventually have the ability to learn from and follow a user. For example, the Kinect would be able to recognize subtle differences from a default gesture a user performs such as an X motion rather than a checkmark. These unique gestures could be saved for a specific user in his profile....
