LG intros IPS5-series monitors with IPS panels

LG has announced a new monitor series, labeled IPS5, that is built using in-plane switching (IPS) panels. The technology, which is utilized by smaller products such as the iPad and iPhone, offers a much wider viewing angle when compared to standard LCDs. LG also claims its new monitors provide improved color reproduction, with color-calibration reports provided with each unit when it leaves the factory....
