Today, Nokia Point & Find is launching their new blog (visit the site here). Have you tried P&F yet? It’s a really cool (and free!) service for most Nokia smartphones that lets you point your camera phone at a real-life object and recieve information about that object, no typing or clicking required. It’s the future of mobile discovery.

Imagine that one day when you’re visiting a new place or exploring your city, you can point your phone at a building and you’ll immediately see a video about the building’s history or see a list of all the offices and shops inside in a mobile-friendly format. Or you’re out shopping for a new piece of electronics and you want to compare pricing at other retailers, so you pick up your phone, point it at a barcode and immediately see a comparison of shopping information.

Whether you’re really interested in the image recognition technology behind P&F or want to find out how to use the service and explore your world through augmented reality, their new blog is for you. P&F’s new Community Manager, Adena DeMonte, will be heading up the blog from our San Francisco and London offices. Follow the P&F blog for news about their latest releases, new device support, interviews with their computer vision experts, events, tutorials, and more.

To experience P&F yourself, download the service from Store for free and visit the P&F blog here.
