If I am bored, looking for tips on improving gaming skills, searching for new music, festivals or gigs I tend to read people’s blogs, because the majority of them are open, honest, frank and give an opinion (rightly or wrongly) about what the author has experienced. This can lead to new discoveries and boy did I make quite a few in 2010 
How rude, I’m sorry I haven’t introduced myself! Hi, I’m Ness and have worked for Nokia Music and now Ovi since September 2007. I can’t survive the daily grind without my tunes, be that classical, rock, indie, folk, acoustic, electronic, filthy bass… Any genre really that ignites the synapses and gets me through the day.

Discoveries I made in 2010 through recommendations, reading people’s blogs, watching Jools Holland (presenting ‘Later’ one of our favourite music TV programmes on the BBC here in the UK – J-P, Music Ed), clicking on links in social networks were Devendra Banhart (yes yes I know he has been around for a while but seriously, I have only just discovered him), Plan B, Kraymon, Marina And The Diamonds, Nas, Fujiya & Miyagi, to name but a few.
2010 was a great year for Music. So many exciting new sounds coming to the fore! I just cannot wait to see what 2011 is going to bring. My first blog dear reader is a review of ‘Big Ravey Bastard’ a total tune by Kraymon. I played it almost every day on the way to work the end of last year and it hasn’t grown old. Hope you enjoy and I look forward to any comments or recommendations on music to look out for this year
