Who are you and what are you doing? Hello, my name is José Forero (@josexandthecity), I live in Bogotá, Colombia, I’m 23 years old and I’m the editor of Symbianlatino.com – the blog about Symbian and Nokia in Spanish. In my life 1.0, I’m a student of Systems Engineering at the National University of Colombia, where I hope to graduate very soon. I also support companies with their mobile devices, sometimes developing applications and blogging.
What makes you passionate about what you do? I believe that collecting great experiences is the biggest goal in someone’s life. This is why I put a lot of effort in all the projects that I’m working on and why I’m sharing my passion with the people I care about. This is also the spirit I’m blogging with: I do it for my followers.

That’s a fantastic approach! So tell us, what do you like doing in your spare time? In my free time I like to watch TV shows together with my girlfriend, I like House MD, Dexter, Smallville and SouthPark. I love photography so I like to take part in many photo contests for amateurs
I never win but it’s fun. I have 2 pets: a 6 years old cat called Mr. Cat and my girlfriend’s dog named Sir Matias I which is 1 year old.
Awww! Cute! And how did you hear about us? To keep Symbianlatino.com up to date, I usually read all the Nokia and Ovi related news and this Blog is on my radar too.
How long have you been a Ovi and Nokia fan? I consider myself a gadgets fan since my birth, but when I bought my first Nokia smartphone, more or less in 2007, I became a Nokia fan and since then I actively participate to all the events organized by Nokia Colombia (@nokia_co).
There is no doubt that the service that I like and use most is Maps: it’s amazing that something so good is free… This single application gives much added value to any Nokia smartphone.
What is your favorite thing about Ovi / Nokia? I really like the fact that Nokia always has a phone for everyone, are the only manufacturer to offer such a variety of products. And, of course, I support the brand: everyone knows that a Nokia is about quality.
What was your first Nokia device? My first Nokia was the Nokia N73 Music Edition. Such a good smartphone: a mono-block housing for the camera, great pictures, the best sound and a joystick! And most importantly, Symbian. After 1 year I got myself a Nokia N82… One word: xenon flash.
Which Nokia are you currently using? Currently I have a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, which I use as a replacement for my laptop at college: I manage my email, I hear my favorite music and I’m always connected to my favourite social networks. This is probably the Nokia which I used the most: it offers everything I need and it gets better the more I use it.
What is your favorite thing you downloaded from the Store? Why? The Nokia Photo Browser. This image viewer has a very good interface and excellent 3D effects: it’s unmatched in its class. And of course I cannot forget the widgets created by the App Wizard that are very helpful to all the blogs and their readers.
What were you looking for the last time you used Maps? The city where I live is very large and because of my job I cannot have lunch at home. This is why I use Maps to find restaurants close to the office: I have only to choose among Mexican, Colombian and Italian.
What would you like tell us here at Ovi by Nokia? Ovi is excellent and I’d love to see how it’s going to be developed in the future. And please, Nokia, never forget about us users in Latin America
Thanks for your interview José Antonio! Of course we won’t forget about all of you
