What do you get when you combine a good heart and the willingness to help others with the endurance to bike all the way from Ireland to Morocco?

The answer is a cycling journey through Europe with the aim to gather funds for the only hospice in Ireland that relies 100% on private donations!

On May 29th 2010 poet and author Stephen Murray, actor Eoin Geoghegan, hairdresser and recent dad Ryan Skelton and Zen Master Andrew Hassett set course to cycle from Galway to Morocco in aid of Galway Hospice. The Galway Hospice provides a wide range of Care Services, which include Home Care, Inpatient Care, Day Care, Bereavement Support and Education. Both the Home Care and Day Care services are funded entirely by voluntary contributions, and the service is available 7 days per week, 365 days per year.

So, to support the good cause and help out the cyclists in their journey we decided to gear them with N97 minis and the latest Ovi services. Ovi will guide their way with Maps and bring useful apps such as Gravity from Store. This was so that the crew will be able to share their stories and best moments on the go.

We will ping our bikers during their journey to learn how they have enjoyed their N97 minis and report it here at the Ovi Blog. Meanwhile you can follow and read more about the project here and learn more about the Galway Hospice here.
