Free turn-by-turn navigation is already one of the Ovi features you love the most. And when we introduced Own Voice you expressed even more enthusiasm.

The same enthusiasm that the people at Nokia are showing in these personal stories we are blogging about. Last week we introduced Daniel and Lola, today Jennifer is going to tell us about her fantastic adventures around UK.

As my family and friends know I spend just about every weekend outside of London – trail running, mountain biking and kayaking all over England and Wales with my adventure racing team. The four of us have been racing together for two years and are training hard for a two-day, 140-mile race in September. Yikes!
So what makes the adventure in this racing? Isn’t it like all other endurance runs, triathlons, iron man type activities? Well no, it’s better! Because it’s truly an adventure, every time. You see, we don’t have markers to follow. We rely our own navigational skills to get us from one checkpoint to the next. We have a set amount of time to collect as many points as possible. One wrong move costs us time and more importantly, points. So navigation is key! And so is navigating to find these races, as they’re held in some of the wildest (and most scenic) parts of the country. If we get lost and arrive late the night before, I won’t get my beauty sleep and could be even more grumpy than usual in the morning.
And because I’m away so much I miss my family and friends. And that’s why I’ve chosen to record my godsons voices in my Adventure Race voicepack so they’re never too far away.
