Apple shipments up 34% for the quarter

Apple has continued to show strong sales, with computer shipments up 34 percent for the first quarter of the year, according to report from Gartner Research. The company gained market share to reach 8 percent in the US, as the current leaders HP and Dell showed only modest increases in unit distribution and market share declines down to 25 percent and 23.4 percent, respectively....
