Amimon, the Israel-based company behind the WHDI high-speed wireless standard, has shown a prototype system that uses the 5GHz band to transmit 3D HD video wirelessly. A demonstration transmitted 1080p 3D video at a frame rate of 24FPS, and the company plans to market a system that uses two boxes to send such signals between 3D HDTVs and a 3D Blu-ray player.
