It seems like all of us have agreed that the world is indeed, not flat. We have been getting a love of love around the 3D maps and for that, we are all very thankful. We have been reading your blog posts and comments on internet – both rants and raves – and forwarding them to the rest of the team as well.  We also look forward to your favorite virtual trips with the 3D maps. Some of you have uploaded a few videos to internet yesterday, and we ran a compilation post of them. Here are the videos that are being shared today:

philipervm has shared a seven minute look into Las Vegas and London.

llaadd is taking the viewer on a trip to 3D via maps.ovi.com, your go to page for everything navigation related. He also has this to say about the video in his blog: “there are a couple of places where it looks like the screen has gone blank and the panning “stutters”, but this is not the Ovi Maps 3D, it’s my graphics card playing up, so hopefully when you try your self it works a lot better!”

gandayonline has decided to check out Copenhagen. He posted that “Ovi 3D maps are incredibly realistic! All the buildings, parks and playgrounds are there. It’s almost like being there. Cities and neighborhoods can now be visited right from the sofa, smoothly from air to the streets in downtown areas.”

OkpaProductions observed about 3D: “Im using Manhattan for this demo video and as you can see, every building, iconic or not, is created accurately in 3d and does not require we the users to create each building ….. They also went as far as creating trees, grasses also cars in parking lots, statues (liberty statue) and the airplanes at JFK airport in 3d…….I cant wait to see what next they add to it.”
