As you might remember, we already did this last May when the Ovi Blog got new clothes, and, well, let’s face it, the site looked pretty fantastic already as it was However, we realized that we can make the blog look even better by introducing a couple of smaller, but significant fixes. Introducing new categories
We moved the categories from the right to the center, right under our header. Also, now the structure of our categories is more human; we have themes now instead of individual services. So for example what used to be “Maps” is now “Location & Travel“.
Ovi Blog and @ovibynokia are now true friends!
First off, each post can be tweeted via the official Twitter button that’s next to each individual post, and the generated tweets will mention “via @OvibyNokia” at the end. Because the Ovi Blog and @ovibynokia love each other!
Featuring selected posts
Some posts are now highlighted at the top; we call them “Featured stories”. These are the posts we’d like to especially draw your attention to!
Going Mobile
As you might remember, just a while ago the Ovi Blog also went mobile. We introduced a mobile-friendly version of the site that you can read easily – without super-long loading times and massive data charges! – on your device’s browser. We also asked you what color you would like the mobile site to be, and you said: Fresh Ovi Green! And that is what came to be!
App-Tastic!
The Ovi Blog now also has its own application in Store! Have you tried it out yet? The Ovi Blog App gets real-time feeds from both Nokia Conversations and the Ovi Blog, shows content from Twitter with Nokia and Ovi hastags, and also highlights recent and upcoming Nokia events! If you haven’t yet, you should most definitely download the app for your compatible Nokia touch device from Store ASAP!
