In the last weeks you met Daniel, Lola and Jennifer who are using Own Voice for Maps to connect with their loved ones.
Today we have one more story, by Andrew, that shows once more the power of Ovi to connect people with free turn-by-turn navigation and personalized voice commands. Btw, I really love that “Oh no! Route recalculating”

It’s over 17 years ago I passed by motorbike licence and in that time I have ridden a lot of bikes. It is my favourite way of travelling, I’ll find any excuse to get on my bike and go! Over the years I have learnt a lot about riding motorbikes, so that riding is now second nature, which is fortunate if you are in London trying to get find your way around the myriad of streets and obstacles at the same time.
It is not easy or safe sometimes, so having a voice in my ears guiding me around means I can concentrate of the road not the street names – genius whoever though that one up!
Another one of my passions is being a trustee of a charity called Spear. The charity aims to help young people, who have had a tough start to life, to build their confidence and abilities to change their lives through gaining full-time work or education.
They often start the six week (pre-employment) training programme usually pretty demotivated and lacking in the basic skills to find work. They mostly end the course with a completely different outlook on life and usually a big simile.
So, it wasn’t rocket science to think of recording some of the students from the latest Spear course on Own Voice for Maps. Now, I can ride around on my bike being guided by people I know and have helped find their way in life. It is really simple to do, so there is no excuse for not recording the people who matter to you with Own Voice for Maps.
