Sony's PS3 3.30 update is now known to have significantly more than just the 3D preparations thanks to updated release notes. The patch brings both raw and pre-mixed bitstream audio to Blu-ray movies when using optical audio. It's presumed this will be limited to the slim PS3 and other models that have the hardware support for bitstream output....
