Financial information changes quickly. How do you keep up with the fast-moving whims of the market, and not find yourself overwhelmed by the mountains of data that seem to be generated every day? Today we want to suggest two apps that are in Store that should offer you a way to begin to take control of the information overload, and help you make informed decisions about investments.
Now, to be clear, these apps will not replace the advice and guidance that you can find from a true financial planner, but you can at least give yourself some intellectual ammunition that should serve you well.
This week in the Ovi Daily App, we had a review of MobFinance US Edition by EMOBISTUDIO, and this detailed app makes it easy to track stocks, organize a personal portfolio, see the latest news about various companies you are watching, and – we hope this next part is true for everyone! – use a “Profit Tracker” to monitor the performance of individual stocks, too.
MobFinance also features price-charting information to see trend-based information for the stocks you are monitoring. This app is available in Store for $9.99 (USD); and there are also versions for UK, EU and Worldwide financial information, too.
Now, for the financially frugal, an alternate choice in Store is called Blue Mobile. This app is compatible with a broad range of Nokia Symbian OS S60 3.X and S60 5.0 devices, and it is free to download.
Blue Mobile, by Blue Systems, offers a wealth of financial information. It is set up so you can create watch lists for stocks and major financial indices, and data can be seen in either a ‘streaming’ mode for constant live updates or ‘snapshot’ mode for a static overview. You can customize the view of each watch list that you create, so that the data is presented in the best format for you. Like MobFinance, BlueMobile also features charting and news information, and it also gives you the ability to subscribe to price alerts and push e-mail news alerts so you can keep up with any movement or changes in the financial markets.
Blue Mobile contains a lot of detail, and it might seem overwhelming at first, but, as our reviewer noted: “the app is so neatly arranged, you will very quickly familiarize yourself with the key functionality it offers.”
So, even if you aren’t a financial expert, you can give yourself a mobile leg up on the markets with either Blue Mobile or MobFinance.
