Majority of Blu-ray recorders sold in Japan support 3D




New statistics from Tokyo-based research firm BCN have revealed that the majority -- 56.8 percent -- of Blu-ray recorders sold in Japan in December supported 3D content. The count is a significant bump up from the 6.7 percent in September, despite prices that are, on average, 30 percent higher than 2D recorders, the study found. The average price for a 3D recorder in Japan is about $900....
