It’s Midsummer, everyone! Let’s look at some Ovi Pick-up lines :)

All our Finnish readers know what day today is, but for those of you not in the “know”, today is “Juhannus”, which is called Midsummer in English. It’s a celebration of summer and the nightless nights that we have in June. It’s around this time that the day is longest in Finland and in some places the sun doesn’t set at all for a certain period of time! I live in Helsinki, but the higher up you go in Northern Finland, the shorter the night is. It’s seriously the best time in Finland =) Juhannus is also the time when most Finns start their 8-week long summer holidays. I totally kid! They’re usually only 5-6 weeks.

Anyway, I’ll be heading off to the north soon in search for the ultimate Juhannus experience (uh, grilled sausage and cold cider, anyone?), but before that, I’d like to bring you yet another installation of our weekly Fun Friday series.
