HP's PC growth slows in spring, still up 20%




HP showed some hints of slower growth this evening in its results for the spring quarter. The company's PC shipments were up 20 percent year-over-year and were high enough for HP to keep its top spot in the computer market but were a noticeable slowdown from this winter, when the PCs delivered were up 26 percent. Most of the revenue increase came unexpectedly from desktops, which earned 27 percent more where revenue from notebooks only grew 17 percent....
