Have you ever visited Berlin, Germany? The fact that I’m living and working here for basically 7 years is not a coincidence: I really love this city. Luckily Nokia has a presence here And a very particular one: indeed, one of your favourite services, Maps, is being developed here.

Berlin is a particular city: because of its recent past, it’s very liberal and queer, almost anarchic, home of a huge number of expats and artists. Nightlife, festivals, music and street art are part of the city true soul. David Bowie, Iggy Pop, U2, to name a few, recorded some of their best albums here. Techno music became popular here: the Berghain, one of the world’s most popular clubs, couldn’t be anywhere else than in Berlin. Last but not least, Berlin can be easily considered a street art stronghold, with streets, sections of the former Berlin wall, abandoned breweries and former department stores transformed into open air art galleries.

Influenced by the spirit of this fantastic city, Nokia decided to recruit MaClaim crew to create an impressive Maps-themed graffito. As you can see in the following video (obviously shot with a Nokia N8), the graffito is right in front of the new Nokia office building site. I obviously can’t wait to move in

Here also some nice pictures (thank you Nokia N8 ) of the graffito…
